Just Say You Hate Men

This article has been making its rounds on most social media platforms and I am quite amused by its context. I find that the article is not mentioning anything profound, despite its popularity. It’s actually kind of boring and lackluster. So, the article is written through the lens of social media, and its comical to push the narrative of your social media life dictating your real life. The author suggest that when women post about their boyfriends, they lose followers. However, I must continually remind myself that these kids are jumping through hoops as if they are performing in a three-ring circus for popularity and funny money. The author said:

There's a Dark Cloud in the Sky

I was in a part of the city that I don’t usually frequent, so when I get an uneasy feeling, I log the details and consider what is God trying to tell me. It’s similar to the ringing of one’s ears as they say,  a spiritual thing. Most folks I know have this gift, especially the elders. What is it exactly though? I thought I may never know until one day, someone provided insight that was thought provoking. I was sitting in the early service allowing the chorus of voices to soothe my soul and then listening to pastor speak about malevolence in relation to the remnant in the city. While most are consumed by wickedness, some people can actually recognize it, and counter it spiritually. These people make up the remnant of God who keep us all for complete destruction. He then went on to share his experience about this and shouted, “there’s a dark cloud in the sky”. At first, I took about this figuratively but considered the fact that since I live in the land of stranger things, I had better think about this literally.

The Idiot Box Dilemma

     I came across a post about the shows we watch on television today and caught the tail end of the speaker’s monologue. He mentioned watching cartoons as adults. I feel that sometimes revisiting the things we loved as children is like sipping from a fountain of youth, it keeps our spirit’s light. I first had to remind myself what the word cartoon meant, and found a source that said a cartoon is an image, painting or caricature designed to influence public opinion. Now, I had intentions of finding a cartoon to watch, but it slipped my mind ironically, and I didn’t consider which show I wanted to watch until weeks later. Meanwhile, I’m currently on season three of Ancient Aliens and it lead to the decision to watch the Flintstones. It brought up the memory of a character, a tiny green man on the show- The Great Gazoo from The Planet Zetox. This show debuted in the 1960’s and was a popular show for the Boomer generation. So first, let’s explore what the message was before the little green alien was written into the show.
